ABOUT US
MJHC - our aim as a club
Our two main objectives as a club are:
1. To get kids playing and enjoying hockey2. To provide a supportive environment for kids to learn how to umpire
The emphasis during a game should be on fun and mass participation. MJHC is aiming for a competition where the games are not completely one-sided. We ask our coordinators to ensure an even spread of ages and abilites across their teams. Players should be rotated to gain equal experience in all playing positions. Coaches are also instructed to keep a lid on big leads. The coaches and parents are also asked to be supportive of our umpires at all times.
See our MJHC code of conduct for more details.

Warkworth hockey turf - history
The Warkworth Hockey Turf Charitable Trust built the Turf which was opened on 22nd March 2015.
It was a long process for a committee of volunteers who spent years and many thousands of hours to achieve the goal of a Synthetic Turf for our region with the help of their community.
It is with great thanks to them we now have a World class facility in our area for all to play upon.
The Turf is to be administered by the Trust in conjunction with Auckland Council for all to use it and enjoy. https://www.warkworthhockeyturf.co.nz/about/
