REGISTRATIOn ARE Now OPEN for summer hockey.
summer Hockey
MJHC's summer season is a fun, social competition for most school years from 0 - 11 (including age 3 - 4 year old children), running as one season (7 weeks in total) pre Christmas. Summer hockey is for all interested players, beginners to advanced.
This is just for fun and not a competition.
We put the emphasis on fun and mass participation. Players are rotated to gain equal experience in all playing positions. New friendships are made and skills shared.
Teams & sessions
Teams are mixed between gender, age, and skill sets. As it is a social season, teams are randomised each week.

Tuesday 13th October to Tuesday 24th November 2026
If we get enough interest we will run sessions in Term 1 of 2027.
FEES payment
Fees are to be paid to MJHC by 30th September 2026.
$30 Age 3 – Year 2 - those participating in the minis/funstick sessions.
$20 Coaching Year 2 - 6
$40 Games Year 2 - 6
$20 Specialist Coaching - Year 6s Only
$60 Year 7 - 10
cancellations
The hockey turf is all weather however play will be cancelled if there is any risk of lightning or in cases of extreme weather. Cancellations will be posted on the MJHC Facebook page.
equipment
We recommend wearing a comfortable top, shorts/skort and hockey socks or socks long enough to hold in shinpads.
A water bottle is compulsory!
Each player will need to provide their own sneakers/turf shoes, mouthguard, shin pads and hockey stick. We do have spare sticks in the shed if required.
Children will not be allowed to play if they do not have shin pads or a mouthguard, including mini and funstickers.
rules
There will be 1 umpire per game. As per normal MJHC guidelines, we expect respect to be given to our umpires and other support team members. This applies to both players and supporters.
Safety is always our top priority. Overtly dangerous play by a player or players will result in their removal from the game.
