Mini & FUNSTICKS

A GREAT INTRODUCTION TO HOCKEY
A great introduction to hockey for ages 3 & 4 (mini) and years 0 - 2 (fun). Sessions are held at 8.30am on Saturday mornings. Funsticks is played with lighter balls and smaller sticks and each session is a mix of skills, fun, skipping and confidence building.Hockey Sticks and balls are provided.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
  • Mouthguard.
  • Shinpads are recommended.
  • Soft soled shoes - sneakers or trainers (no sprigs).
  • Shorts or track pants, t-shirt, long socks, warm top to start.
SEASON DATES
  • The first funsticks session is on Saturday 9th May if you could be there at 8.15am for an 8.30am start. Each session runs for approximately 30 minutes. The season runs for 12 weeks.
  • Funsticks is held on field one & two. These are the first two turfs as you enter the turf. If you have any questions there will be a duty person in a fluro vest that can help you.
  • There are no practices during the week.

CANCELLATIONS
The hockey turf is all weather however play will be cancelled if there is any risk of lightning or in cases of extreme weather. Cancelations will be posted on the MJHC Facebook page
GROUNDS
Funsticks is held at the A&P show ground’s just north of Warkworth, at the hockey turf there.

PARENT HELP
Parent help is needed to run Funsticks and the club, if you would like to be involved please let email us.
SUBS & PAYMENT
Mini & Funsticks subs for 2026 are $50 per player. Once registrations close you will be contacted by our Fun Stick Administrator with payment instructions.
